Catch Iain Mondays - Thursdays at 11pm on Absolute Radio ... new stand up gigs added check Appearances
These are videos that I think you will enjoy. They are ALL funny. Even if you think they are not funny, you are wrong. These are in fact the funniest things you have ever seen in your flippin’ life, alright?
Some of this stuff has been on the telly, like The 11 O’Clock Show, and stuff like that. Some of this is stuff I did to amuse myself, I refer specifically to the ‘Is It Ghostbusters 2’ phenomenon that swept the planet for all of 15 minutes.
If there is stuff I done back in the day that isn’t here and you would like to see here, then let me know, and if I can be arsed, I will arrange it to be viewed by you on this site then.
I used to get bored late at night and would call up those hideous, rip off, ‘guess what I’m thinking’ quiz channels and always give the same answer – ‘Is It Ghostbusters 2?’ It seemed funny at the time. I gave it up when I got busted on air and got my phone bill.
Here they are in order. I thank you. Oh yeah, apart from the second one. Youtube said I was infringing some copyright nonsense and pulled me off. I think they thought it was actually footage from the real Ghostbusters 2. Dicks.

Rob Burney, Paulie and Watko popped
into the Absolute Radio studios one night.
I can't remember why, but it seemed like a
good idea at the time.
it's been a long time but I got like well bored and decided to revive
a classic. Is it Ghostbusters 2?
I
am in a delightful band called Boomhauer X - we rock and rock hard. We
also sing in Japanese. Here is our delightful version of the Kiss
classic Detroit Rock City. Keep an eye out for us - we may be coming
to your town (if your town is London)
he's a twat and he's back. Flushed with success after the World
According To Vinny, allow us to introduce a sequel, cleverly called
The World According to Vinny part 2! Genius. Imagine he's mentally
ill. It makes it very sad.
I
won a (silver) Sony award for being brilliant. This is the call that
won it, but it was mainly me what did it, not Barry. I thank you.
I
appeared on The Wright Stuff. I like Matthew, he's a top bloke.
However, what the heel do I know about Burma and abortions? Not worth
the £100 fee me thinks. Wasn't asked back either!
I hate fairground rides. So why the hell did I go on one?
Here is me live in top Japanese Country & Western bar, The Honkytonk, on the outskirts of
Kyoto. Enjoy the country magic.
I love Regent Street. I hate traffic.
Here is some 11 O’Clock Show stuff. I love these voxpops. I hated doing them, but I think they’re pretty funny.
Here I am asking people if babies should be given a grand at birth. It vaguely links into a news story we glimpsed at in the paper that morning. This is from Series 4, episode 1
Here’s one about the police.
Does smell help you remember? Let’s find out.
Vigilantes. Special guest appearance by Mad Frankie Fraser.
Jason Priestley guested on the show once. No, I don’t really remember him.
This is me on The Danny Baker Show. I bum this man. I was a student at college and thought I looked cool. I don’t. I look like a homeless. See if you can spot me whacking myself in the eye with a drumstick.
When I left London radio Station LBC, I struggled to make ends meet. Here I try and make ends meet.
I dont know what this is.
Barry from Watford. Live. It’s shit quality, but so what.
When I joined The Virgin Radio Station, I thought it would be fun to make a couple of video diaries charting my journey there. I was wrong. It was not fun.
This is a clip from a taster tape I made with Mackenzie Crook and is produced by Bob Mortimer. The show was called ‘The Crook & Lee’ show and was a delightful mix of sketches and filthy songs. This is a filthy song. Enjoy.
This is another clip from the Crook & Lee Show. This sketch, written by Bob Mortimer, touches on the thorny and topical subject of Steptoe & Son.
We all know that Vinny is a nob. Well, it turns out there are some people who are even bigger nobs than him. I sent Varinder out to ask people the simple question 'What date did 9/11 happen?'
Here is a documentary directed by The Shindiggery Brothers. It's basically all about Vinny, hence the title 'The World According to Vinny'
